Karyn Page is the President and CEO of Kansas Global Trade Services, Inc., formerly known as the Kansas World Trade Center. She began her professional career as an international business advisor at the Kansas World Trade Center in 1992. Ms. Page was an export and marketing manager for a local manufacturing company and Assistant Vice President & International Marketing Director for INTRUST Bank N.A. before returning to the Kansas World Trade Center in her current position in 2004.
In addition to her operations duties as President & CEO of Kansas Global, Ms. Page works with companies of all sizes in aviation, agri-business, manufacturing and eco-business, advising on matters of international trade. She specializes in trade advocacy, regulatory compliance, consultation and research, and in identifying opportunities for Kansas companies in foreign countries.
She serves on the Wichita Airport Advisory Board and the Friends University - Global MBA Advisory Board and is a member of the Mid-America District Export Council, the Kansas International Trade Coordinating Committee, and Wichita Downtown Rotary.
In 2006 she received a federal appointment to serve on the Industry Trade Advisory Committee 11 (Small & Minority Business)-- A unique public-private partnership jointly managed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Office of United States Trade Representative that engages business leaders in formulating U.S. trade policy. She was elected to Chair of ITAC 11 in 2014.
In 2013 she presented US-China cooperation opportunities in General Aviation on the panel “The coming decade—the strategic window for China’s civil aviation” moderated by Secretary-general, General Aviation Committee of China Air Transport Association Madam Wang Xia at the 2nd annual China Air Finance summit in Tianjin China.
In 2011 Ms. Page was a featured speaker at the National League of Cities and the U.S. District Export Council national conferences. She also attended the APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation) senior official meeting (II) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) 8th Ministerial Conference as a private sector advisor of the U.S. government.
She is a frequent guest speaker at universities, organizations, and conferences, and regularly works with media and elected officials on the nuances of international trade practice and policy. She makes time to read to elementary students through Rotary’s Reading is Fundamental program.
Ms. Page is a graduate of Wichita State University with a BS in Business Administration, in international business and economics. Married to Mark Paolucci and mother to 18-year old daughter Kaitlynn, she enjoys time with family and friends – especially while in the kitchen or traveling.
Senior Director, Business Development and Global Air Capital Program
Tyler, a Wichita native, graduated from Friends University in 2010 with a BS in Business Administration, emphasis in International Business. He participates on several committees that promote exports and advise governments and industry across the state of Kansas. He came to Kansas Global Trade Services in April of 2011 and leads the team in international trade relations, export compliance, and Business Development. As the Senior Director of Business development and the Global Air Capital Program, he is responsible for implementing the established business plan and cultivating relationships throughout the world that benefit our customers and Kansas importers and exporters. Tyler works with companies of all sizes in many different industries such as; aviation, agri-business, and advanced manufacturing. He specializes in business development, market research, trade compliance (ITAR/EAR), and consulting. When he is not working with people from all around the world, he is rooting for his favorite baseball team, the Kansas City Royals. Go Royals!
John R. Schott
Senior Director, Export Programs
John R. Schott is Senior Director, Export Programs for Kansas Global Trade Services. His business career spans the breadth of sales and customer service to human resources and supply chain management. He was the successful owner of a hardware store for nearly 20 years in Kansas. Prior to that, he was a mid-level manager in Marketing for Pacific Bell (now ATT) in Southern California.
His public service career includes serving as Mayor of Anthony, Kansas. He has also served as a Founding Board Member of the Harper County Economic Development Council, the Anthony 9-11 Memorial Committee and as President of the Anthony Chamber of Commerce. Through his public service, he has experience working with local, national and international media.
Born and raised in the Philippines as the son of missionary parents, Mr. Schott’s interest in international relations is deep. He began his relationship with Kansas Global in 2013 with an independent study program to support export outreach and the Global Air Capital-China program, to complete his Global Competencies Certificate.
Mr. Schott is a graduate of Fort Hays State University with a BA in Business Management, and a minor in global competencies. He holds Certificates in International Studies and Human Resources Management. Married to Pam, with a son and daughter, he enjoys reading, movies, travel and family.
Holli Schletzbaum graduated from Emporia State University with a BS in Communications and Public Relations. While attending Emporia State, she played on the Women’s Soccer Team. After graduating in 2012, she earned a Master’s in Business Administration with emphasis in Leadership from Newman University. She interned at Kansas Global assisting with export outreach to help Kansas companies increase exports. Holli’s primary duties at Kansas Global include planning and executing marketing strategies, creating educational opportunities to enhance global trade, sharing relevant information about international trade, and developing communications material to promote products and services to customers and prospective clients. She is responsible for all media coordination, promotional and advertising collateral, traditional and digital marketing efforts, content development and maintenance of Kansas Global’s website, as well as the implementation and execution of seminars and events.
Export Development & Consulting Associate
Taylor Stewart, Kansas Global’s Export Development & Consulting Associate, earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Leadership Studies from Kansas State University in 2014. He was an intern at Kansas Global assisting with the Air Capital program, client projects and export outreach. Taylor’s primary roles at Kansas Global are to promote exports as a growth strategy for Kansas companies, support efforts in the Global Air Capital program, and serve customers by offering customized trade services to meet their diverse needs. Taylor works on the Kansas Global team to achieve its mission of building international growth and commerce for Kansas companies.
Michelle Hernández-Arévalo moved to Wichita, Kansas from Pomona, California. She majored in International Business at Friends University and graduated in 2016. During her time at Friends University, she was part of the Women’s Tennis team, Concert Choir and was a chairman of the Falcon Student Organization. Passionate about other cultures and how to interact with businesses outside the US, majoring in International business was a natural fit. Michelle started working at Kansas Global on January 2017, as an Executive and Research Assistant. In her free time, Michelle enjoys playing tennis, drawing, serving the community, being involved at her local church and spending time with her family.
